Obey The Limit And Don't Forget To Dim It

Roadkill is not a pretty sight, caused by animals crossing at night.
A skunk will leave it's terrible scent, while getting to the other side it's hell bent.
Squirrels will run and then turn back, real good judgement they do lack.
It's so sad to see a beautiful deer, I think of cars they do have fear.
The lights are bright and they get confused, sometime the speed limit has been abused.
Armadillos with thier tough ribbed shell often turn up as road kill.
A rattlesnake so dead I'm glad to see, then it won't be able to strike at me.
Sometime it's a person's one and only pet. A very kind person may take it to the vet.
We often see a useless coyote or an old wild boar, you can bet the buzzards overhead will soar.
They will clean up the mess until next day, when along the roadway more roadkill lay.
It's been this way since the automobile, so all we can expect is more roadkill.
Please slow down at night and obey the limit, and for heavens sake don't forget to dim it.

Now Mel and Slim up North ain't wanting to discuss this subject! (OUCH) They just had a run in with a deer.
Road kill a serious thing.
Side story. We had a young man named Eustis, attend college near us. He lived in the woods in a Teepee and lived off Road kill. Today he earns his living teaching survival.

When Hubby and I were traveling around looking for barns and fences, we saw more road kill than barns and fences. Hubby wanted me to start a road kill meme. I didn't think that it would catch on. What do you think?

Sad to say, but I seem to see some kind of road kill every single day. Sad is the pet or deer.

Very good-- I can't understand
why a squirrel just as you approach
them will start across the road
and then turn and run back.

We have to be careful driving in the mountains about deer. Like you
I don't care what color a snake
is they scare me.

Well and in the country - isn't the speed limit slower and you are supposed to be more relaxed? lol
