Another TX friend once got struck by a copperhead while cleaning out a piece of farm machinery. It put him in the hospital for two weeks. I have to agree with Jack too...only good snake, is a dead snake. Sorry you missed a meal, Jack, but you gotta be faster and smarter than an Eagle.

Bless Your Easter Paula and JohnDarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16642092433299872708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2967955433805290702.post-87156646785658318792010-04-03T12:07:35.728-05:002010-04-03T12:07:35.728-05:00Probably many of the city dwellers don't think...Probably many of the city dwellers don't think of snakes, unless thier roots were in the country. Do folks out west ever try using a sulphur line around their place to turn back snakes? My sister-in-law makes one around her house every year. Pete's already killed a water mocassin here. Never mind the temp has never been above 80 as yet. Here we have timber rattlers, water mocassins and copperheads. We don't do much in the woods in the summer. For one thing almost impossible to keep mosquitos at bay. But we never venture into the woods without a gun somewhere to shoot a snake.Barbara In Caneyheadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06053601327400989802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2967955433805290702.post-31597269436990439482010-04-03T09:19:54.812-05:002010-04-03T09:19:54.812-05:00Oh my gosh, rattlesnakes!!! I have never seen a rattler in this part of Tx. We have copperheads, and water moccasins around here, as far as poisonous snakes.
