"The Butcher, The Baker"

Has anyone read this book? It's about a serial killer who had a family and his wife was a teacher. I can't wait to find it and read it as our company worked with the killer in the 70's. He is serving time now. I can't remember the killer's name or the author's name. I don't seek out this type book but since our company told us some about him it will be interesting. I think this is the book another brother-in-law of John's said they are making a movie out of it and his son has a bit part in it so that will make it doubly interesting.

  1. Don't read books with blood and gore. I used to, but gave them up. Had trouble sleeping with such images on my mind. Hope you enjoy it though. Never heard of it. Take care.

  5. It sounds familiar but that is about all I can say. Is your company gone? Now you can have the best of Christmases and a Happy New Year. Love the header. It must be warm.

  7. The movie based on this serial killer is called Frozen Ground and is supposed to be released sometime in 2012. Nicholas Cage and John Cusack both play a part in it.

As for books I found these from this article in True Crime online:
    http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/serial_killers/weird/robert_hansen/index.html

I think you'll find a lot of information in the article without having to go out and buy the book. However if you still want the book, here are a few based on Robert Hansen.

    Fair Game, by Bernard DuClos;July 1, 1993, St. Martin’s Press; ISBN: 0-312-92905-6

Butcher Baker, by Walter Gilmour & Leland E. Hale;November 1991, Penguin Group; ASIN: 0451402766

Hunting Humans, by Michael Newton;September 1991, Breakout Productions; ASIN: 1559500263

Hope some of this helps. (Hugs) Indigo
