Yesterday was the first chance I had to see where Susie our long time companion cat is buried. We still miss her at times. When we start to leave the house I think oh I have to feed Susie before we leave. It dawns on me, Susie is gone forever. She liked to sharpen her claws on the door mat. I was afraid one of us would trip over her and fall or hurt her or both. Now I know where her body is buried in the corner of John's daughters country yard near a Purple Sage bush. Surely a good cat like her is in cat heaven.
Funny how you can do that, with pets or people. To think of them as still being here months, even years after they have passed on. Personally, I think heaven is full of animals. Animals tend to just know who is Lord.
ReplyDeletesweet girl, rest in happy cat peace.
