Coyote Of The Human Kind

I'm going to give them credit for one thing, they can drive. You probably know people who transport illegals from Mexico are called coyotes. John's ranch is on the path of back roads from Mexico. When the Border Patrol spots a vehicle loaded with them and gives chase the coyote will plow threw a fence and drive over land he is not familiar with and go as far as he can over as many ranches as he can until the vehicle stops from damage. They all pile out and run. Sometime the illegals get caught but it seems the coyote usually gets away, then the vehicle is reported as stolen so no one has to fix the fence except the rancher or farmer. The coyote already has been paid to transport and the illegals are sent back to Mexico. Today we intended to ride west to some towns to see what is going on there with building from the oil boom. When we got even with the ranch we spot a truck in the bar ditch pointing the wrong direction with a highway patrol in back with it's lights flashing. I pull off and John goes to talk to the Patrolman as we can see the fence is down. John ask who does this truck belong to and they say it was reported stolen. He says and you have another fence to repair. They had driven to the back and went through into the neighboring ranch. We think it is connected to the call last night about the cows out. They just wanted to make sure they didn't get out and they waited until the light of day to call a wrecker since they had to go over cactus, mesquite bushes, ravines and bumps in the dark. We tried to find the manager of the other ranch and couldn't to get back to fix the back fence. It will be a miracle if John doesn't wake up with a flat tire as we drove over and around those things to get as close as we could. Then carried supplies the rest of the way. We are both exhausted tonight and would like to hang a coyote on the court house steps and I don't mean of the animal variety.

It's awful! I work with a woman(who I love to death, by the way) who has an illegal for a boyfriend. When he gets picked up and sent back, she drives down to the border and picks him up. It's ridiculous. I've tried to explain how they hurt us all in the long run....taking jobs our kids could be taking as first jobs out of high school...and then not paying a cent of taxes, yet having their babies here free of charge....then getting free food because their baby was born here....then getting free education for their other kids...and free lunches....while mine always had to pay for their lunch....and I had to pay for my baby....and I had to pay for our food....and I always have had to pay taxes...and I could go on and on and on....but she just doesn't get how they hurt us in the long run. And that isn't even touching on how they are law breakers (criminals) when they come across the border ILLEGALLY....that's what the word illegal means....it's a crime. But she just doesn't see it that way. Kinda like some people say, "it's just marijuana"...it's ILLEGAL....that makes it wrong. sheesh.

I know if I lived in Mexico with the way things are down there, I'd want to come to the U.S., too. But I would do it the same way the lady that was from Jordan that I worked with...and the lady from Germany that I worked with....LEGALLY....I'd get a green card or I'd get my citizenship!!! There has to be something wrong with the ones the coyotes slip in here or they wouldn't be breaking the law! Ok, let me step off my soapbox now.

Another cost of illegal immigrants being passed off to the taxpayers...I would want to post him on the courthouse steps, too. So sorry this happens...not right.

The coyote is a bad person, but the immigrants are not, at all. I cannot blame them whatsoever for wanting to flee here to make a better future for them and their children. I would. In a heartbeat.

Of course anyone who has lived in the USA would want to get back, I do not blame them but if the borders were actually secure, more would have to do it the legal way. Yes it is such a shame the Rancher is saddled with the repairs.

Yep, I am with you, public hanging would be an announcement!

The press has built too much sympathy with the illegal way, and it will continue...

Rest easy today!!! Just two more years!!! (smile)

Love you guys!!!

That is expensive and frustrating to keep having to pay for repairs caused by someone else. Sorry you two have to deal with this. Rest and take it easy, Sheila
