I've never seen so many dandelions before. Not just in my yard, but everywhere around here. I mixed a recipe yesterday that I found on Facebook. I gave them a good drink. Now it remains to be seen if it does the job. Maybe not, since I don't have a garden sprayer, but used a spray bottle hunting them down one by one. Do you think it will kill those pesky weeds?
The recipe is:
1/2 gallon apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup salt
1/2 teaspoon Dawn dishwashing detergent
Simple, not harmful to pets, ingredients on hand. What more could I ask for? I could ask for it to work.

There are no dandelions where I live, but plenty of other pesky weeds. The recipe is certainly worth a try.
hope it works!
I don't know, but I sure hope we get a report of all dead and accounted for! Sometimes you just gotta try something different than 'Round-up'.Sure don't want to feed Susie that stuff.
I hate dandelions. But my yard is full of them every year. Hope your concoction works.
Ok I am going to be the annoying guy in the room and say I love dandelions :)
I do know for a fact that your shared recipe works on killing aphids off rose bushes!! Hope it works on dandelions.
Our neighbor's yard is loaded with them, and he doesn't mow....irks me. LOL
LOVE the header with the babies!! So precious.
Here's hoping. And much better than Agent Orange i.e. 24D on steroids...:(
We are certainly seeing more and more here in England Paula.I think the reason is.People don't pull off the flower heads before they go to clock. The wind then scatters the seeds from the clock.I always pull my flower heads off, as soon as I see one.I must admit,it has made a differance.I don't see many now on my garden lawns.I hope your remedy works for you LOL!!.Iv'e not been too good over the weekend, but I am pickin gup a little this t/time,so thought I would call into Blogger for five minutes.Have a great day love.Take Care God Bless Kath xx
There is another thing you can do with them - (and I am kidding) - but years and years ago people ate them in a salad!
Hope you get rid of them!
I love dandelions. Haven't seen too many here yet. I have read recently that just plain vinegar works well as a week killer, too, so your recipe should work. I'm going to try it here, spray some in the cracks in my driveway. What I read says you have to really saturate the weed to get down to the roots.
