Just a country girl kicking around the dirt roads taking pictures of trees, gates, animals. cactus, and anything else that strikes my un-fancy mind. You are welcome to take a look and come back if you like.

Lost In The Trees
This is an old picture and now part of that tree to the left has rotted and fallen into the water. This is my favorite place to feed the turtles as there are some bare places where I can stand without encouraging the chiggers. Also there is a little shade. Yesterday John let me out there to feed the turtles while he did some chores. After he drove off I decided it would be the perfect place to sit on one tree limb with another to my back. The turtles came right on over. The wind was blowing fairly hard, so at times I thought the limb to my back was going to sweep me off into the water when a gust of wind blew. I couldn't believe it when I heard John driving up and he passed me by. I began to contemplate spending the night out here with no food and no bed. I could walk up to the house and sleep on the floor, but no food? Guess I could walk up to the farm-to market road and hitch a ride into town. Oh well he made a big round by the pens and house and came back. By that time I had pulled my self up from the trees and was on the tank dam. Where were you, he said? I thought maybe you had fallen into the tank when I made the rounds and didn't find you anywhere on the road. I give him a lot of headaches, don't I?

too cute. glad he came back for you! :)
Well, it's good to know that John was worried about you. That's sounds like a nice spot to meditate and enjoy a peaceful afternoon.
no headaches
just love
I am so glad he came back for you!! lol
Awww, Johnny ain't about to leave his favorite cowgirl....
Good entry... I like it.
Glad you are safe and that he came back.
Well....he DID come back.
I'm not so sure Bud would've done the same [kidding of course]
Good thing he came back. That probably would have resulted in a hell of a fight if he didn't LOL
Paula, you and John sound so much like Joe and I. He thought you had fallen in the tank but he didn't get out and look!!! That sounds like Joe. Spending the night out there-----NO, say it would never be so!! Who gives who a lot of trouble??? Already my neighbor is kind of weird. We almot wish that house would have stayed empty. I get along with her. We talk across the fence.
Lol, glad you didn't fall into the tank and that he did come back again! Have a great day! Sheila
Awww, you get to feed turtles? I'm a bit envious, I've never seen turtles in nature but they are one of my favorite animals.
