Just a country girl kicking around the dirt roads taking pictures of trees, gates, animals. cactus, and anything else that strikes my un-fancy mind. You are welcome to take a look and come back if you like.

More Animals Added To The Dinner Table
John just came home from burning prickly pear for the cows. He said as he drove up to the pear grounds he saw two white tail deer run away. It is very sandy there and he could see there were deer tracks mixed in with the cow tracks. John ask me if I knew what that tells him. Sure it tells him that it is very dry and all the animals are getting hungry and thirsty. We already know the wild turkeys are eating cow feed, why else would they be near the cow pens? We had a good chance of rain yesterday and did get a couple of small showers but John said it didn't rain any at the ranch. Bless the animals hearts, hope we can keep on helping them out.

Whoops this title is misleading, sorry. We don't hunt or trap anymore, just helping them out with food to eat. We don't eat them.
:) i figured out what you meant.
we did get rain yesterday - about 3 1/2 inches and needed every drop. i hope it heads south for you, too!
I suppose it is getting to be near the dry season. I feel for the animals.
We haven't got but a few drops of rain and it's bad here...So dry! No grass to speak of. The animals are stripping the trees. Yesterday morning the deer were up at the yard gate watching me. I finally went out and gave them some grain. I know it's bad when the deer beg for feed. I was hoping we'd get some rain today but it has all passed us by to the North once again...
Hope you get some rain to help with those dry conditions.
I will do a rain dance for you - picture that will yah?
Will pray god to have rain in your place. So that animals will get water and be good!
It rained GOOD here all day yesterday. I was so happy. Hope you're getting some of it by now.
