Just a country girl kicking around the dirt roads taking pictures of trees, gates, animals. cactus, and anything else that strikes my un-fancy mind. You are welcome to take a look and come back if you like.

Work Work Never Done
We had high wind last night. Blew part of my pretty tree down so we've been busy cutting it up and hauling it to the ranch to dispose of it in a deep hole the young man who is remodeling the farm house dug to burn the trash in. Then we found a mesquite tree had fallen on one of our little roads. Had to cut it out of the way. Then came the flat tire. Just what mesquites are good for. One tire shop didn't have electricity, one only took big trucks and one wasn't opened so off to Charlotte the tiny town with nothing much but a dependable tire shop. I give a shout out to men who fix flats in this area in summer. I was sweating just sitting in the truck waiting with the door open. We got it all done except unloading the second load of my tree. John is in bed already before seven and I'm relaxing here.

sorry about the tree - and the tire. is the video john?
Hey, sweet lady....glad you and TexWisGirl didn't blow away! We had some tornadoes around our area....not too awful close...had one house blown to bits. The people were inside and came out alive!
I haven't been around because my computer fried. Had to buy another and Hubby is afraid for me to blog, so I am just blog stalking right now. Hugs...thinking of you all!
Yes the video is John but it didn't turn out right. I can send them to Facebook just fine but have trouble here. Oh well you all would get sick of them. lol
Hey, I believe that is a first for you, the video. I haven't tried that yet. I'm not good at video's anyway.
When it rains it pours, mama said.
Now relax....
The wind always seems to know where to cause the most trouble.

Hey! I like the video - just the way it is, shows work, work, work!
Seems everybody is having storm damage, maybe I am just noticing it more... Sorry about the tire, too hot to hang around for something like that.
The wind can cause so much damage. A shame about the tree. LOVE the video.

flower pot photo
have a great weekend!
Wow, that must have been some strong wind! It's a shame about the tree. There were bad storms here last night, too. Rain and wind all night long, but no trees are down so far as I know.
That sounds like a never-ending day!
"When it rains, it pours". Hope all the nasty, back-breaking work is done for now.
Yes, I too would be in bed early!!
I know the feeling. Somedays it seems the work is never done. And when I retired I thought I'd be out from under....:)
Hi Paula, DH says they quit producing the El Camino in 1984 here in the states. Wish they hadn't. We had a ranger for many years, but DH traded to a bigger truck... and I don't like it.
You 2 better relax a little. We had a tornado night before last that wiped out a town with 350 people. A 5 year old girl was killed and her mother is in a coma in Omaha with a broken leg and another brother was not hurt but very young to take all of that responsibility.
That's terrible ~ having to sit in the truck and work up a sweat while the tire is being changed. I'm glad it didn't take too long :) ... I do know we'll miss the mesquite that we'd gather when I would visit my sister down there in Texas to use for our smoker ~ she's moving back up north this week and becoming a Yankee again. She said she's tired of the stickers of Texas and now she's trading them for the mosquitoes of the north woods. hmmm... I have to question her reasoning some times; but it sure will be nice to have her close again after 30 plus years.
You have got the prettiest flowers. Mine or doing fair. Joe still waters them for me but once in a qwhile I beat him to it.
