A Frugal Hint

If your kids or grandkids want to go skating and you don't have the money to take them just sprinkle some eye glass cleaner on the kitchen floor and swoosh it around with a mop. Instant skating rink. This afternoon John shook me awake from a deep sleep to tell me he had a mess on the kitchen floor and he didn't know how to clean it up. As I walked into the kitchen I found myself slipping and sliding around the table, under the table and grasping each chair as I sailed by. He had used the mop without getting clean water each time and was just smearing the eye glass cleaner into every corner Thank goodness for a faucet near the back door. It took many buckets of clear water to mop up all that slicky eye glass cleaner. Happy Monday.

I'm thankful you didn't suffer a bad fall! I know my kids love to skate in their socks on the linoleum floor.

Glad you didn't fall! When I was first married I had this great idea of using Pledge on the linoleum with the same effect. Whoosh!

That is to funny. When my sister and I were growing up we would take furniture polish and spray each others bedroom floors down. Then you walk in and fall on your butt! We were so mean to each other.

I can just see you skating around the kitchen Pauline. Reminds me of the time Nick gave one of our former pet cats a ride on the dust mop. She used to love riding around on that dust mop. LOL. Hugs,

Haha, that paints a funny picture, as long as you didn't take a spill of course. I have already cleaned the kitchen cupboards with a spray cleaner that misted onto the floor and made the floor so slippery the animals could barely walk on it, they would slide across the floor.
