Since John sold many of his cattle and gave up the large ranch we have time to ponder. Early today we noticed a nice pick-up with a couch (or do you call it a sofa or divan) loaded in the bed. The couch was ugly, dirty, and had a split down the back. John pondered--I wonder why someone has their couch loaded on their pick-up? Maybe they are waiting for the perfect country road to dump it on I pondered. Later this afternoon the pick-up was still in the same spot with the couch still in the bed. John said look that truck is still there with the couch maybe they are going to sleep on it. I said we should drive back by after dark. We just gotta get a hobby. Bingo maybe?

You need neighbors like some of mine. Over on the west, things can REALLY get interesting, to the point of the cops showing up.

And the house on the other side next door? They're too lazy to pick up trash out of their yard. They have an in-ground swimming pool in which the water turned green and stagnant three years ago, and now there it sits, a home for frogs.

Neighbor-watching seems to be the chief occupation of retired folks. LOL. When they get old, who will THEY watch?

No doubt it was loaded up to bring to our woods and ditch it! We have so much furniture dumped in our woods we could open a used furniture store. People are just so ignorant around here but I did see a squirrel on a chair that was ditched one day so that was kind of funny.

Of course WE pick it up and haul it away.

Paula we have neighbors who dump junk in front of their home for the city to pick up sometimes it stays there for a week are longer and eye sore to have to look at. We have a dump within two miles and they have trucks to haul it off with like my husband and I do ours.
Maybe he was thinking before he dumped it some one would come by and take it. Lol jean

I like your ponderings. It's good to ponder about things like that -- keeps the brain cells active.

My grandmother called it the divan, haven't heard that in years! I call it the couch and it
is amazing how many you see on the side of the road. I think your hobby is keeping us entertained!
And you are good at it!!!

We call it a couch, but I have an aunt who always called it a davenport!

I don't blame you for being curious. Don't you wonder sometimes what people are doing?!

I think you should have went back to see if they were sleeping in the back of the pickup. Heck if they were maybe they live in the truck. We probably could. Nah, we lived in a van for a few months, don't think we could do it in a pick up.
Bingo sounds good for you, not me. I watched those little old ladies doing 12 and more cards. Shoot I can't handle one! Must be something I don't know about Bingo. I had rather look at pickups with couches in the bed.

Love Donna's comment, I usually don't read others comments, at least until I have finished mine. But this was hard to let pass. AND It is a couch! and John could find a hobby if you would cooperate!!! BTW I love you pondering!
