Eyes Are Watching Everywhere And Sometime Thats Good

My back went out today. Too bad I don't drink a lot then I could have fun too. Have you ever felt there were eyes watching you? We did, and they were, on a surveilance camera and way out in the boonies. I hope they catch those people who dump on this lonely little boonie road. Yesterday John took a short cut from one highway to the other to show me what he had seen the day before. A little fawn had been hit and killed by a car or that is what we presume happened to it. It was on the side of the road and he said the mama was there with it when he passed that way the day before. How very sad for the mama. John wanted to see if she was still coming to it. She wasn't there but the fawn or what was left was still there. It is a peaceful little road with lots of trees and very quiet but bad people seemed in the past to think it was the perfect place to dump their large unwanted items without getting caught. The area was clean as we pulled along side the baby deer. As I scanned the trees on the other side of the road I spotten a large sign warning people who dump that they will be prosecuted. It also warned that the area is under surveilance. Yes I saw cameras in the trees. Good for someone. I don't know if it is the owners of the property or the county or both but I hope they catch some of them and too bad they couldn't hang them on the court house steps. There is no reason for this. The towns around here have garbage pick up twice a week and twice a year they pick up large appliances etc. Also there is a place in our town where you can haul it yourself to for free. If they have a way to haul it to this lonely peaceful little road where the deer roam why can't they dispense of it properly?

I hate when I see things like tires, stoves, just plain trash along the side of a road. There's no need for that. That poor fawn....

I hate dumpers. We call them Tennessee Trash around here. I'm glad someone is doing something about it on that lovely road. So sad about the fawn.

That is so true! If it's free, why do they need to dump it out there? People are so weird!

Sad about the fawn and the poor mama standing watch. I dislike people who trash things up. I hope your back gets better soon. Helen

I had someone once place a shopping cart(broken and run down at that)on my front lawn. Uhm, I really have no idea what the heck happened with that, but I've also seen tires and computer monitors and broken appliances thrown by the road. I don't even throw a gum wrapper out of my car.

One group of junk I encountered looked like a Jean-Michel Basquiat masterpiece....but only that one, most looked just like the junk they were.

Walking as much as we have, of course we have ran across illegal dumps. Some, we see makes me wonder about a person's sanity. I have seen stoves and refers in the middle of the woods. Somebody WORKED to get them there. No road what so ever! A mystery to us. It is strange how the world has changed. In the 30-50's no one gave a second thought about throwing a cup, bottle or candy wrapper from the window as they drove. I have made a lot of money picking up pepsi & coke bottles at 2 cents each.
Glad we are learning better (Some of us)

I am like you and Kelli, I hate litter bugs. M worst peeve is gum thrown down on the pavement especially around bus stops. What is this, American? My son Dan says you can go to jail and pay a very large fine if you litter in Singapore and to him, it really was the cleanest city in the world. Guess us Amerricans are down right slobs in comparison. Gerry

Here in Kentucky with all the "hollars" and such dumping is seemingly a way of life...but environmentalist have started cracking down bigtime...fining the counties and towns if they don't put a stop to it..they can get help...no need to have it around...nasty nasty stuff...sheesh...and poor little Mama..didn't deserve such to happen to her baby!!! God Bless folks....hugs...Ora

They think the world is a dump yard. I always
wonder what their house looks like they must
be trash people. They have no conscience and
no respect for people's property. I hope they
get caught and punished with a large fine.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

I'm glad they put up a camera or two - I hate people who do that. We get it all the time since our woodland goes the length of the road so people just drive along and dump their junk in our woods. I would love to catch them. We have cameras in our woods too - amazing the things you see!!! Made me tear up about the little deer and the Mama...so sad.

I guess people will always be like that...trying to take the easy way out, even if its not the easy way. I hope they can catch whoever is dumping and fine them, and make them clean up the mess. It seems I see more trash on a country road than on a city street at times. Everyone throws out their fast food trash around here...and it builds up and looks awful. Kelly
