Mother Nature Is Messing With Us

Oh yes Mother Nature is messing with us. It has been drizzle all day today but not enough rain to fill a tea cup. On the way back from picking up a calendar John's stock broker was saving for us he said ya wanna go somewhere? Well heck yeah. Then the discussion began as to where to go. You know we can never agree so we just headed south. John said why do you want to look at all this brush? Because you never know what will come out of that brush. Deer, rabbits, roadrunners. It turns out they aren't so dumb. We didn't see a single wild life varmit and we were gone four hours. It was cold and messy all day so I'm sure they were hiding in the brush to keep warm. However we did see some hunters with their camo on when we stopped at Nolan Ryan's Steak House (the baseball player). We've never seen him there but his pictures are on the wall in his baseball uniform and lots of stuffed wildlife. It was freezing in there but the food was good. On the way home we went on a one lane road and we saw zillions and zillions of sand hill cranes and wild geese. I have never seen so many birds in one place in my life. John said they were there eating the cattle's feed. Then he starts looking at his watch. Oh! I think the vacation is over. Do you have to catch a train I ask? No I'm trying to get you home in time to watch your show. He takes off like a ruptured duck and I can't even watch the brush. I have to watch for holes in the road. Holes in the road and fast driving are not conductive to an over full stomach. Well we made it home in time for my show and then is was a re-run.

what was the show??? jerry is great for running thru the channels and deciding there is nothing good on so we better watch one of his taped shows---usually western, never with the begining and often without the ending--the birds sound facinating--barb

It's just to darn cold to be out rambling around (even in a heated car) lol. I love your little trips 'cause I can enjoy them in my nighty in my warm house.

LOL, I just love your entries Ms Paula! Since I am reading backwards I guess, I know what a ruptured duck is. You actually have roadrunners? How cool is that, can you send me one? I want a roadrunner...beep beep.
