Granddaughter and Her Horse

My granddaughter is a senior in high school and this is the horse she has competed on in Hunter Jumping. She learned to ride in England when they lived there for three years. She hasn't made her University choice yet but has been accepted in several and has scholarships for two. I am proud of her as I am of all my grandchildren and wish her well.

How well this girl must know her horse. I happened to find a novel that told all about the international horse jumping competitions by someone who obviously had alot of experience in the sport and it took place in England. So I know there are a lot of horse loving people there. I wish your granddaughter well. She must have some of her grandmother's curiosity and energy! Gerry

beautiful and intelligent young woman. i wish her the best.

as for the flamingos, our church youth have a fundraiser that involves the pink birds. they purchased 50 of them and they place them in a church member's yard. the member then has to donate at least $1 each to rid their yard of them. usually, the family that gets the bird (flamingo, lol) is able to afford the donation. if they cannot afford it, they then have to take them and put them in another member's yard. when 15, my daughter said she would move out if i put any in our yard. i went right out and bought 2....she lived on with me for another 2 years, lol.

Wonderful photo of your gorgeous granddaughter and her horse! This is a great place for horse lovers here in Kentucky. The Derby takes place every April and I should really start thinking on what hat to wear. The horse in the photo is beautiful. I would like to learn more about horses and have one someday. Courtney and I want to take lessons at the farm nearby.

well first off...your gdau and her horse make a beautiful picture...and I wish her well in her competitions...and as for the pink birds...I have two in my "yard"...dau Amy gave them to me one summer...mostly I try to ignore them...they get pushed to the back of places many times...they are beginning to look shabby LOL..but dau looks for them...LOL..so they stay...LOL.and well I enjoy seeing the pink birds in the zoo and elsewhere they can be shown off...in bunches...I think they are pretty...otherwise..leave them in the garden stores LOL...and butterflies...my guess would be they are hunkdered down somewhere out of the cold...making all those pretty colors we so enjoy when they finally show up LOLOL..God Bless..hugs...Ora
