What Makes A Redneck?

I got a little carried away with the frame on the picture of the pump unit on an oil well on the land John leased for over 30 years. I know the frame is a little onesided and gaudy. John laughed his head off and said I've never seen anyone frame a picture of a pump unit. Maybe that just proves I'm the redneck someone in Club Pogo called me over the week-end. I'm very much into word games. As of now my favorite is Sqrabble where I play against someone opposed to Word Whomp where I play alone. For some reason it takes me a long while to get into the game. My idea is it is because I'm still on dial-up (I know thats redneck right there). My opponent is already there playing and can chat to me but I can not answer as I'm not into the game yet. Most people just play until I get in and nothing is said. When I get in sometime I will explain why I think it has taken me so long to start playing. Most say something nice or just doesn't comment at all which is okay. The night in question he/she started calling me names and redneck was one of them. I couldn't answer in chat to explain it wasn't my fault I wasn't playing yet. When I did get in the person left so they still think I'm a redneck. Come to think of it I think I may be a redneck I just haven't made a windchime out of beer cans yet and I don't have a toilet with a plant in the front yard. lol

I think buying a used mobile home and then putting a hot tub on the deck is a very redneck thing. I KNOW I'm a redneck.

I have not played scrabble in year! I like bookworm, and I so want the newest version of it, but Rusty said that I should wait until we get our new computer.

Hi Paula. I've often wondered how the term "redneck" came about :).......

LMBO.. You seem more like a country girl than a redneck Paula. They go hand in hand but there IS a differece lol. At least around here anyway.

You hit it on the nail with the plant in the toilit seat.

Paula I once saw a wind chime made out of beer and coke cans at the rattlesnake rodeo and to be honest I started to buy me one. So I guess I could be a redneck, lol. I enjoy your blog so much, jean

I think most of us could be called a redneck for one thing or another. LOL

Have a good one.

LOL...I think there maybe a little redneck in all of us. How rude of that person. There is no need for someone to be rude. I'll play scrabble with you in Pogo and I won't call you a redneck!!!

Awww Paula. I wish you could get out of that Redneck dial-up thingy. I can't even imagine going back to that. Didn't it irk you just a little that you couldn't respond to that jerk?

I know that was frustrating, but at the same time you got to just ignore people like that and dont let them get to you. I am a redneck, and proud to be one. :)Hugs, Kelly
