Still no answer

John went to On The Farm today but I didn't feel like going. You know I was sick if I didn't want to go gaze at the mysterious columns. I've missed two trips to the ranch and I'm not liking it. John said he did find the new calf but couldn't tell the sex of it as he didn't want to excite the calf and then the mother would be upset. He said the girlfriend cow was with her friend and her calf out in the field. I have bronchitis again and need to rest. Wonder if Shelly Marie missed me.

I am sure that cow missed you as everyone likes an audience for the cute things they do. I believe. I knew all the characters of my granddad's milk cows and ours and my other granddad's too, as milking a cow is a very intimate thing, and these lady providers can be very tempermental especially for a new amateur milker. I was petrified of Pickles and defied all efforts from my parents to get me to milk her. My mean tough mother would have to go out there and wrench Pickle's milk out of her. They were a match for each other! Gerry

You know Shelly Marie missed you. I hope John
explained to her why you were not present.
If was best you didn't go to gaze at the
columns the way you hang out the window
with you not feeling well. There will be a
next time. But the suspence is growing.
