Has This Country Girl Been Living In The Dark Ages?
Do all of you already know about digital drugs? Our local news from San Antonio talked about this and I had never heard about it. To put it mildly I'm half shocked and half unbelieving. It seems kids are able to buy sounds to play on their I-pod to get high. They showed a list of different drugs and they can buy the sound to produce a high the same as that drug would produce if taken. They played just a small portion of one of the sounds. Now I can not imagine myself listening to such a sound unless someone tied me up and forced me to listen then I may go looney. However I can imagine kids doing it as a dare or out of curiousity or for the feeling of being high. What next?

never heard of it, but if it's out there, you can bet your bottom dollar there will be a bunch of kids - and some adults - getting high anywhere and everywhere.
i went to walmart the other night and i swear there was a kid doing cocaine by one of the displays. lord. and now it's digital.
I'm with everyone else....I've never heard of this either. Kids are just so DUMB these days! Makes our world in the future look pretty bleek.

I know they are using sound as weapons now, but drugs? Wow, I sit amazed.
We must have been living under the rock next to yours, never heard of such a thing. Wow what can they think of? Well, at least it may cut down on the drug traffic. May as well find a bright side, if there is one.
About my little tractor. I gave it to my son, he still says it is my toy when I want it. I had a big massey to. He has the land for it. I do love to drive a tractor though.

I guess I am way more out of the loop than I thought. There is someone in my life who usually keeps me up to date on this stuff if I miss it, and I've yet to read or be told about it, & I read most of the paper every day. Hmm. ~Mary

Oh my goodness I didn't know about this but glad you are letting us know because I have a teen and it's hard to keep up on all these things. They could damage their hearing or something, ya know?!

Nope, I haven't heard of this one, will have to ask Ian about it, sometimes he hears stuff I don't. Have to google it too! I wonder how it works? Strange stuff...
I just got back from Googling Digital drugs...WOW..there is plenty of it out there, on Youtube they have the sounds. I guess someone could record it and then use it with earphones. Says you have to have earbuds though...or it doesnt work. Awful sounds though...repetitive noise.
I never heard about it that is so strange I am going to google it too. Those crazy kids!
That's a new one on me. But hey, maybe that would be safer than putting something in their bodies. I guess I'm out of touch too Paula.
