Just Us Girls

Come on over to my house the smell of coffee is strong. A break in the day can never be wrong.
Lets have a cup of coffee, visit and chat today. I will tell you my troubles, listen to what I say.
The basis of our friendship is a full coffee urn, about each others feelings, we listen and learn.
Lets have a cup of coffee and talk for just a while, with the tensions relieved we can leave with a smile.
Do you want cream and sugar, or just take it black, as I lift each heavy mug off the wooden rack?
A small round table with a mug on either side, the trust we have in each other will always abide.
We stir with little spoons and watch the tiny swirls. Isn't it nice to have coffee with just us girls?
You can tell me what is heavy on your heart, then we will have a second cup before we must depart.
We may not solve our problems, but we will feel good. Lets do this coffee visit often, I just think we should.

Do you mind if I have hot chocolate instead? I'm not really a coffee drinker, but I'd love to sit and chat.

I love that poem. I take my coffee extra light, I'm on my way over :)

Now that is a sweet poem. My breakfast coffee companion is always Doc but I do relish an enjoyable companion when I take my morning coffee. I cannot, I will not drink coffee alone. A congenial companion and morning coffee just go together. Gerry

That is a beautiful entry. The person I usually have coffee with is very sick this makes me very sad. I will be glad to sit with
you and have my coffee. Would you say a prayer for my coffee friend she has cancer.

Love the poem Paula. Wouldn't it be nice if we could sit and have a cup together. I guess we sort of do that anyway huh?

Love the poem, sorry I am not one of the girls or I would have enjoyed the coffee too.
Good entry, Lady, so I won't fuss.
I still need a poem for Toby's Tales.

Maybe I will just listen to your gentle, wise conversation.
I just started reading a fine book by John Piper, called "Seeing and Savoring Jesus Christ" and it really brought me much joy and understanding already.
Have a great day and good coffee.

Warm Regards,
Tom S

Paula what a darling entry... you got me through the last few weeks of busy crazy stuff and my journal not really working right... missed everyone so much and am so glad that my slide show contribution to the wrestling team is finally done and I can catch up with you. I need that coffee about more than anyone LOL.
