I changed my mind I don't wanna be, don't wanna be a cowgirl don't you see?
The sun is too hot to work the cattle. Poisonous snakes making a scary rattle.
Chiggers take their toll on my pretty skin, up and down my legs and to the shin.
Mesquite limbs hitting me in the face, can't forget the first aid kit just in case.
Everything has stickers to hurt my feet. Heaven forbid that I fall on my seat.
Can't ride a horse, don't know how and I sure don't want to learn to plow.
John says to count the cattle but they won't be still, as we come through the pasture and over the hill.
If it doesn't rain soon we'll be in a mess. Will have to feed the cattle everyday more or less.
Ranching is hard no matter what the weather. Turns your body a little like leather.
Boots hurt your feet and the jeans too tight, nothing feels so good as a bath at night.
I changed my mind I don't wanna be. A cowgirl's work is hard you see?

yep I do!
I was just reading where Arizona is still in a drought and it sounds like Texas is too, when the rains don't always cooperate as they are needed and that really makes a cowgirl's life hard, don't you see? Gerry

When I was reading about all those things, it brought back memories of my stay in Texas, LOL. Oh boy, it wasn't dinner time unless there'd been a snake killing. We stayed indoors a lot.
