This Way To My Blog

This Way To My Blog

Wednesday, April 8, 2009

From today I will try to lay off the pity party blogs. I never intended my blog to be the type its been lately. I intended cows and country. John and I just got home from the hill country to visit my hemetoligist at his second office in Bandera. The drive is pretty. The town has grown and I was given the wrong street so we had trouble finding it. Good thing we left early. We did connect with some nice small town people who used their cell phone and called around to find his office and then directed us there. I had blood work done this morning at our little hospital then went back for the report to take with me this afternoon. I couldn't wait to compare my platelets with the report from my primary in March. What a disappointment, they were still lower. The doctor went over all my medication to see if perhaps one of them could cause the problem and he says no. We went over many points and couldn't come up with anything. He says not to worry and he wants me to come to his main office at the medical center in san antonio in two months so he can recheck. He says he trusts the equipment there more. My white and red cells are good. The white cells were low four or five years ago and that is why I went to him in the first place. If you thought of me or said a prayer for me, I thank you.

I am totally guilty of not reading every thing,or every entry in my reader(mark all as read-done that!), but I've never come across a pity party entry from you. I see a big difference between stating things that are happening, and some of them being of a negative nature, and looking for pity. You explain parts of your life, and I happen to think you do it in the opposite way of what you are describing. I see you as a very Buck Up and take the reins cowgirl. ~Mary

There's nobody I'd rather pray for. And hey, your blog has NEVER been a pity-party blog. Never.

Hey Paula...it is not a pity party to ask friends for a prayer or two to the Heavenly Father...He wants us to call on Him in times of trouble...and we, as your friends, would be remiss if we didn't . That said...of course I will say a prayer for you.
God bless,
love,
carlene

Well no. Oh there was, no. But Okay one time.. Huh uh. I can't think of an entry that was not GOOD. A few minutes ago from a cross the table I heard.
"Have you read Paula yet."
"No I haven't got there, if you would comment you wouldn't either."
"I was just going to say, she went to BAndera."
She said pouting. (LOL)

Bandera brings back goodmemories of our last trip to San Antonio. That was one of the small towns we chose to go walk in. We love to walk in small towns as we travel.
I think I mentioned we liked the museum there, it is small but fun to go through.
I think Bandera was listed as the home of the king of the Cowboys, not Roy Rogers, but the real cowboys.
Good entry as usual!
Jack.

PS: Sherry also said I have to read Paula's comment to find out you got hurt. I told her I didn't say anything I was waiting for her to comment on all the blood in and on the motor home. LOL
