Its The Cats Fault

John says its the cat's (Susie) fault that our last two gallons of milk got blinky before we used them. How can it be the cat's fault I ask? John replys because we open the fridge too often to give her milk. Give me a break the only reason we are giving her milk is because she likes the blinky milk and we don't. We only give it to her about once a day. John came from a large family so I guess that is where he learned to blame someone or something for everything. We had some beautiful rain last night so we drove to the ranch this morning to check it out. It was so muddy we couldn't drive anywhere without getting stuck so we came home and went back to bed. John is already talking of buying some more cows. He forgets in a few weeks we could be back in the same situation but right now he is seeing green. Green grass and green money.

I thought I heard that cats shouldn't have milk...

Gotta blame someone LOL. Sometimes ours goes bad just because we don't use it up before the expiration date. One reason I don't drink it much is I don't care much for it plus it runs my sugar way up. Helen

Lol the cats fault? If you ask the cat I'm sure it will say it's the dogs fault. In any event nothing seems to last as long as it used to. I've had a problem keeping produce fresh for the week. (Hugs)Indigo

Yep it is the cat, shoot the sucker! LOL We don't have a cat and we lose a gallon every once in awhile. Funny we don't use that much milk, but it just seems silly to pay so much for a half gallon, so I grap a gallon jug. We usually get it about gone, before it blinks. Sister called it blanching, aunt called it blinky, Mama called it turning. I just call it sour. LOL
I think it is our government. If they can find something or someone to blame for something they seem to be happy, whether the problem is solved or not.
Okay, just skin the cat, don't shoot it. LOL
TAke care and hide the cat for a week or something.
take care.

Just hubby and me and I don't drink much milk (I use it to cook with) he is a milk lover so I buy it by the gallon I don't know if it gets sour, but I have poured it down the drain (don't have a cat) when the date expires on it.
We had cats and dogs when I was growing up and they eat scraps and drink older milk that had to be poured out. We didn't have to buy dog are cat food and they lived to be old age. Lol. Take care, jean

I used to have to buy three types of milk. I know, pretty pathetic, lol. DH won't drink nothing but whole milk, and I'm trying to drink skim or 2%. DD#1 has milk intolerance so only drinks lactaid. I usually get 1/2 gallons.

I blame a lot on my cat and it is usually well deserved. But, this is a little far fetched. My vet told me that a cat can have a little milk every once in a while but not often. It can cause worms or something in cats.

I've never heard it called blinky, maybe because you do alot of blinking if you swallow some. I don't like to drink it when it gets close to the expiration date, I guess too many sour milks at school...ha. Hope your weekend is going well. Sheila

I don't drink a lot of milk but I think it
should be in the refrig. just in case. Love
the dog in the truck. Glad you got the rain.
We have had to much plus the weather it hot during day and cool at night. No use complaining what ever will be will be.

LOL Well our milk would go blinky too if we didn't give milk to the cats. lol We can't seem to use it up before the date. lol Glad you didn't get stuck really bad. We had sooo much rain last night!! Everything will be getting green.. but I don't think I will see any green... might go for taxes but I will only see it a short time. lol Blessings, Janie

Nice cat photo. My sisters and I used to joke about the 'negs' and country folks way of talking about stuff (negative). We each made up our neg speech about our lives and other people. I think some of my sisters caught the disease as they can neg pretty good to this day, so it is mighty easy to catch. When my kids talk about each other negatively I ignore it, so as not to encourage them to do it more. Gerry

I'm well noted for sharing responsibilities around here. I've asked Frieda,"Where'd you let my put it?" or "Why'd you let me put it there?" or "Did you watch me put it away? No! Why didn't you?"
Nothing to it. John's a man after my own heart. It isn't easy keeping you girls on your toes. (hehehehe) (grin) and some (laughter) with some hiding out.
