This week is Fiesta in San Antonio. Tonight there will be the river parade. I heard on the news there will be a big hair float and they wondered if the hair would fit under the bridges. I'm sure they measured. Night In Ole San Antone will be held several nights, an oyster bake was already held. Friday will be the Battle of Flowers parade and Saturday night the Fiesta Flambeau parade. I have been to just about all of it at some time or other over the years. I have marched in one of the parades and my daughter has. John and I don't attend any of it anymore but I do like to watch one or two of the parades on TV to see my hometown represented with their school band and my daughter's schools represented. San Antonio knows how to party in April every year.

I remember the confetti eggs and the girls were out of school on Friday. Still have a carton of confetti eggs I bought and a carton that my oldest daughter made in school in 3rd grade...she graduates this year...ha. Take care, Sheila
Sounds like a wonderful and festive time!

Sounds like fun. I lived there for 9 months and then moved to Key West. Rented a real nice house that was new. Didn't get out that much because I had 2 kids 13 months and 2 1/2. lol Hope you have a great week. Janie
Sounds like everyone has a great time. To bad that you and John will miss it. Helen
I had to look up hair float, now that I know raise those bridges!
san antonio knows how to party, for sure!
huggies...
I have a favorite memory from San Antonio, LOL. I was designated driver for a crew and we had stopped at an outdoor diner in the evening with a band. They were rockin! Ummm to such a point, the female lead singer was dancing around the tables and did not see the young couple that was discreetly trying to pass through. She bumped them on accident and into the River they went! I felt sorry for the couple, they were dressed in prom digs -- but it was worth a giggle. Just the timing and how it all played out, it went from "Oh noooo, to stifle a giggle time" LOL Ohmygoodness...great memories of that place.
I'll bet it is a beautiful site and a lot of fun. The float parade will be great I would bet.
TAke care,
Jack
I've always wanted to see San Antonio.

I love parades but on TV. I would go when
younger. But I love to sit back and relax and
not fight the crowds.

Sounds like a good time!
Have a good evening.
Is there always San Antone water traffic on the river. Are there canals also like making part of town the Venus of the West?
That looks as if it would be very scenic; city lights, boat light reflected of the river water's. Wow wowy
That does sound like fun! I have not been to a parade in years.
