Cats Got My Tongue Again

See how those cats are pushing me around? I hate it when they do that and take my words and thoughts away. To me if you keep a journal you should write in it everyday. Of course I always started one and then didn't keep it up but here it is different. It isn't that I haven't been doing anything, its just that is isn't anything of interest. We did see a friend and he told us he had to put his wife in a nursing home as he can no longer take care of her. He really has tried and she is even doing better there. This couple has made it through a lot of hardship and they are younger then us. Before we knew them they lost their home to fire, lost their only son in an accident and she survived cancer. Since we have known them he had a major illness and they lost one of their two daughters to cancer. He told us of a trip he plans to make to see his grandson accept some kind of award that only two are awarded. I hope his health holds out and his wife doesn't take a turn for the worse so he can go. He certainly deserves a little r&r.

I am the same way. I write for myself, and I know that other people read my blog. But does else really care about my babies? Or the fact that I four teenagers living here? Oh well I write anyway!

I hope the woman will be ok and that the man can go on that trip. Sounds like they have had a lot of trials. Helen

Of course your journal is one of the most interesting, because of your ability to generate imagination. My mind goes to friends who have required nursing homes. The heart break of the one there and the one at home-alone. It even gets more scrary when it is a yournger person.
Thanks for a memory-sprint,

When you have been writing a blog for five years, it is impossible to write something every day especially when you are retired and do not do much. An entry now and then is better than no entry.

PC tied up for hours yesterday. You always have interesting things to say. Do as I do if nothing to say, grumble about the cats or whoever. Seems that couple have overcome a lot. The Bio-freeze, do you get it across the counter??? I always require extra blanket for my feet. We got rain but more wind than rain.

I don't think it matters what you write...it's always of interest because you have such a natural way or writing it. Keep up the good work, I love your journal.

I think that couple had enough bad luck to age them before their time. Sounds like they did their best. Some people are just hardier than others. Gerry
