Drunken Cow Call

Oh no I didn't mean the cow was drunk. The lady (lady?) who called was drunk. This morning at seven the ringing of my phone awoke me from a deep sleep. John was in the living room so we met in the hallway head on by the computer room. I'm glad I stepped back to let him answer the call. From the conversation I got the idea a cow was out but John never did say "I'm on my way". He was explaining if the cow did not belong to this person they could load it up and take it to market to sell and then charge for the hauling and for what feed they had fed it while on their place. It seemed he was having a hard time getting through to said person. Finally he hung up and ask me how can anyone be that drunk at seven in the morning? Easy I guess, just drink all night and don't go to bed. He said it was a lady that had rented a lot to park her moblie home on from him several years ago. He said there is a cow on their place that does not belong to them. They have asked around and no one claims her. She said a lady down the road said if they keep her two weeks then they can claim her. John tried to tell her it doesn't work that way exactly but she didn't agree so why did she call? Maybe because her husband is completely deaf and he was asleep and she wanted to talk and wanted someone to listen. Hope she remembers to feed and water the cow. I'm sure her husband or kids will.

Paula, I do believe you have more unique experiences than any of the bloggers I read. Keep up the good work.

If there is a drunk on the other end of the line, they don't make sense, take it from one who knows, they call at odd hours, you have a hard time getting off the phone, and you are or should ber glad that John got there first.

Very early for a call. Like you said she must have been up all night. Why call if she was going to argue. Drunk people will do just about anything. Helen

I was going to say the same as Jean - maybe there was no cow at all! Drunk at 7am ::shaking head::

I do believe that woman was really higher than a kite. She probably had her hangover around 5 or 6 . Yuch.

I love it. No body has more fun than the Cowgirl South of San Antonio. I follow the logic and therefore know how the lady was drunk at seven. I hope she went out and talked to the cow.

You know you should write a book. LOL
