Newest Cows On The Block

This picture is of the two newest cows John bought at auction. They were bought a while back but I had not posted a picture of them. The black one I named Meany and the other is Emily. Meany is the one that ran at me but there was a fence between us so she had to put her brakes on and she snorted at me. She was not a happy girl. Being brought to the auction and then moved to John's place ruffled her feathers. They are in the pens to get located. In other words to settle down and accustomed to their new surroundings. It didn't take them long to join the herd. They seem to be as happy as a cow can be now. I fed the turtles today while John put water in the house tank for the renters. Wow that tank must have been almost empty. It took about an hour and a half and usually it doesn't take but about 45 minutes. I told John think how many people are bathing in that house now and how many clothes they have to wash. When John went in to give the man some rid X for the plumbing he said they had twin baby boys there. WOW the numbers keep adding up. He said it was grandchildren. I'm getting confused I thought all their kids lived with them so who does the twins belong to? Hummm Back to the turtles-- It was still quite muddy so I had to stand on the second level of the tank dam and pitch the food in. One of the turtles tried to climb up to me but they don't climb real well. They are sooo cute.

I remember your entry about those two cows. Glad they settled in good. Glad that you go to go feed the turtles. Just wondering how many sleeps in those two bedrooms you mentioned. Helen

Handsome cows or should that be attractive cows since they are female. I just do not want to comment on bulls because I am afraid I might use unacceptable words. You can tell I was truly traumatized by the bull calf.

Sometimes those who rent from you can be so confusing. HA!
Keep up feeding, maybe the turtles can climb better later. LOL

Glad the cows have settled in their new home.
The cows that I am in contact with tell me to
eat more Chicken. I have been to our new Chick-Fil-A everyday this week. I should be
getting a Thank You note from some of my Cow Friends LOL. That should help Meany's attitude.

Well, as soon as the cows found out the feed was good at their new digs they probably won't want to hook you anymore. But proves moving is traumatic for almost any critter. It is surprising how much renters can multiply, until you dont know how the place can hold them. Oh well, such are the way ways of humanus. Gerry

Love the pictures of the cows:) How much room is in that house your renters use, sounds like a full house. I am so glad you still feed the turtles, maybe one day they will let you hold them:)

I like the new names, Meany & Emily. It's nice when they settle in and feel at home after a few days. I'm sure Meany won't be charging the fence soon, she'll get to know you are good!
