I know I'm a day late and a dollar short with this entry but something just struck me funny today about the time change. We talked to an elderly man who just recently lost his wife. He ask us if we got all our clocks changed. Yes we did and we have at least one in every room and some rooms more then one. Then there are the watches. Oh well! The man said "everytime I change my clocks I get jet lag". I had never heard it described that way but I know it does get people all mixed up and most doesn't like it. Last year I told you about the large clock I bought for John so he could use a flash light from the bed and not have to keep interrupting my computer time with asking me the time every few minutes. He still does and Saturday night about two he woke me from a sound sleep to ask if I wanted to come watch the clock change. This clock looks very much like the picture here and it runs like a race horse until it gets to the correct time. I said no thank you I saw it last year please let me sleep. To be honest I didn't say it quite this kindly. Happy time change!

wow that's funny! My grandson Dakota changed the windup clock in the bathroom a couple weeks ago and my husband & I both couldn't figure out why the kids were up so late!
a broken clock is right twice a day
Us in Arizona are the envy of the people in many other states since we do not have any time change. Our state rejected daylight savings, but I have never been able to understand why we were so sensible since it is such good weather all winter and downright scorching in the summer, wouldn't we have supposedly been better off getting up an hour earlier to go to work in the summer? Instead of waiting until the old time? Why did we reject daylight savings. I have concluded that it just meant we can't abide change and mass confusion, so in Arizona my son goes to work around 4:30 am and then in the winter he might not get there until 6;30. I always wondered why other states could not adjust going to work times like we did? I am so thankful we do not have daylight savings time! And I never heard of a male companion who asked what time it is like your John. They might ask a lot of other aggravating questions but just not that one. Doc is just too thoughtful. He calls to see if I need anything to the store, and then he calls when he returns so I will know he is back and calls if he is going to the bank, and calls if he is going to the fast transit toget a bus pass and if he is going to get his meds, alot of thoughtful calls seems like some days! Bet you felt like taking that flash light and bonking him over the head LOL. Helen
If my hubby woke me up from a sound sleep to watch the clocks time change ... I'd be flashlight bonking him. lol
You need to spice up John's life, if watching the clock change at 2am is his idea of excitement. LOL I am with you, sleep is much better to me,too. The 'bonking' idea sounds like a solution.
Lol, he better be glad he got out of there with his life...Have a good week, Sheila
How funny, I think I would do a little bonking with the flashlight to.
maybe, your John would
be better off with a
lighted digital clock
THE ONLY ADVANTAGE EVER REALIZED FROM DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME WAS GETTING THE EXTRA HOUR OF SUNLIGHT ON MY GARDEN.

SEE TIME FLY. There goes my life flying by.

Time change doesn't seem to matter to Mr.Sun! We still get the daylight hrs nature gives us. Good grief, tell John it's not New Year's night YET:)
I don't mind changing the easy clocks, it's just having to be retrained on the VCR, DVD and Microwave that bugs me.

An old Indian once said about Daylight Savings Time that only the government would cut a foot off the top of a blanket, sew it to the bottom and hope it would be longer...
Thanks for letting me stop in...Mel's Sis
