Its Been A Darn Good Donkey Day

The sun is shining bright after a blanket pulling morning. I feel good after not feeling so good for several days, that is until I went to Tractor Supply to buy a new hoe. I bought a good one this time and had to try it out. I hoed a big clump of grassburrs and a sturdy johnson grass plant. Both aplenty here and very pesty. Didn't take long to feel a tinge in my back so guess I'll have to hoe one ugly plant a day. Went to the next town north of us to find where the stylist moved her shop who can give me a short hair cut and not leave a cartoon piece of hair sticking up in back. She has a nice new salon on the same property as her home and now I know where she is when I need her. On the edge of this town I pass a tiny triangle of land where they always have some donkeys. I spotted the cutest baby minature donkey. Solid black and furrier then most donkeys. I wonder what my neighbors would say if Santa brought me this donkey? Went to Curves for the third time this week. Wonder why I have to kick my own self in the rear to get me to go when I feel so much better when I do go. Twisted John's arm to get him to go with me to have an alzhiemers (sp) test at the retirement center. When we got there it was the wrong day and I even told the lady this date was printed in the paper. Geeeze I think I do have it. John was relieved he didn't have to take it. He was embarrassed that all the residents were singing in the lobby and saw us. John doesn't like to meet life head on like I do. When by the hospital to make sure I didn't own anything since I recieved a letter from my old insurance saying I wasn't covered at the time I had test which I knew. My new insurance had paid so why my old insurance knew anything about this I have no idea. Well the lady at the desk tried to explain it to me but it didn't make any sense to me. Another alzheimers credit. It was a beautiful day and I'm thankful for it.

What a busy beaver you have been. You tell John if there is anything anyone can do to ward off alzheimers it is nothing to be ashamed off. I work at keeping my mind active after watching my sister slowly leave us in her mind for 10 years. I never did learn to spell it right. Does that tell you anything. lol

I am so sorry for not being around, but I am back. I miss not hearing your tales and adventures. We need a new hoe, but I am hoping for a bad winter so we won't need one until spring.

I've been seeing a lot of pics of small baby donkeys lately and I like them. I'm not real sure about being pets but if I had the space, I'd get one.

PAULA IT WOULD BE GREAT TO HAVE THE LITTLE BLACK DONKEY. TAKE A PHOTO AND SHOW US.

I BELIEVE A SHOVEL, LONG HANDLED, WOULD BE BETTER TO WORK WITH RATHER THAN A HOE. USING LEG MUSCLES WOULD BE EASIER ON YOUR BACK.
YOU COULD ALSO JAB WITH THE SHOVEL INSTEAD OF CHOPPING WITH A HOE.

THIS ADVICE FROM A LOT OF YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.

It's been so long since my last respounce. My days aren't long enough nor my energy enough if they were. "A body can't win for loosing." My greatest worry my mind should slip away from me, my body becoming an empty burden upon somebody else. I say this for I'm more forgetfull every day. I have often thought I'd like a burro around here for livestock (calf) protection. And, something else to keep an eye on.
Oh, most importantly, I look forward to reading your adventure for everyday living. I very much appreciate your lighter side looking at nature's doing around you. Your as good at that as I'm bad trying to explain my work's enjoyment.
I better shut up before I say my mind even more badly.
You know who... };^D

I was wondering what that donkey day meant in your headline, but I couldn't get over here until now. Raymond is having his troubles in Austin (read his blog) but one thing about him if he is doing what he loves he finds something about it to make it worth doing. He was always like that. You have to be to do theater, and I guess you got to be very optimistic to keep running around like the energizer bunny when you may be losing more brain cells everyday although I seriously doubt you have Alzheimer's. You have too good of sense of humor. I think that is a high faculty. and rain is good. I know it would be good in Arizona.
