Turkey Gulch Road

If all else fails go for a ride on a country road. Sometime you just don't want to be an adult and face responsibility. That is how I felt this morning and I guess John felt that way too as I didn't have any trouble convincing him to go for a ride. On my gasoline of course. We started for Verdi a little community east of us and turned left at the first little narrow gravel road. The sign read ( I almost said the sign said. John always tells me signs can't talk) Turkey Gulch Road. Sounded like my kind of road. Narrow, gravel and no houses but soon found it was a dead end road so we had to turn back. We did go to Verdi and found another road but the most exciting thing we saw was a large ranch that had made large cactus plants from pipe and painted them green. They had one on either side of each gate. Wasn't long before John started looking at his watch every few minutes like he had to catch a bus so we headed for home and responsibility.

Awwwwwww, nice to have responsible adults. Signs talk to me, they say "STop" etc. But they cannot read. LOL
Glad you got your country road fix!!!

That is a fun thing to do. I can remember when I was a child and went with my parents on country roads just to see where we would be when we recognized where we were.LOL My husband and I did this, too, after his transplant, when he got 'cabin fever', from staying in the house so long.

I don't think we have any country roads around
here. I will ask Jack and Sherry. It is traffic, traffic, all the time. I have lived in
city most of my life. If no traffic I would think the world had come to an end and I was left behind. It may sound funny but I love
city sounds. LOL

It's good to shuck responsibility for a bit. That's what keeps you young. There is a little alley in Louisville called Billy Goat Strut Alley. I should get a picture of the street sign.
