Country Road Calling

Now when John suggests riding on a country road you know he has cabin fever. He even furnished the truck and the gas so you knnnow he had cabin fever. Yes it rained all day long day before yesterday. There is water everywhere. We can't drive anywhere but to the house at the ranch and there are holes full of water on that road. With the cows tromping around in the rain it makes it even more like a pig sty. Thank goodness we had a bale locked in the pens and John had his rubber boots with him. So knowing there wasn't anything more we could do out there he suggested we take a ride but only on paved roads. We headed out to the road where we looked at a house for sale when his sister was here. Remember the house in the middle of a sandy field with lots of grass burrs. No we aren't thinking of buying it. Too expensive and needs lots of cement to walk on. Too hard to keep the pretty house clean with all that sand and burrs. I just wanted to explore the area so we did. At first when we got off the interstate he wouldn't go the direction I told him too so we just made a large circle and ended up where we made the correct turn. It was all new road to us so it was okay. There was water everywhere. Not on the paved or gravel roads but in the fields, in the pastures, it the yards. Tanks overflowing, low places into streams. Now if the March winds doesn't blow and dry the water out we should be set for summer this year. We didn't see anything of interest to write about but all that water to south texans is interest enough.
