If They Pose I Snap

This cow doesn't have a name. She is just one of the herd but she seemed to want to have her picture taken so I obliged. John needed to go to Poth to buy chemical for spraying mesquite so we headed south before turning to the east. We went 25 miles out of the way but it was worth it to see all the yellow flowers. Fields and fields of them, some type of daisy looking flower. When we got to the feed store all the old Polish farmers in their bib overalls were not there on the parking lot shooting the breeze. They probably have something better to do on week-ends. While John was buying the chemical and a few other things like salt blocks and mineral I watched the workers loading and unloading large bags onto their fork lifts. There were four in all and they reminded me of bumper cars racing around going in and out the four wide doors. They got it all off the parking lot and into the barn without an accident. We came home to rest a while (all that driving and looking wore us out) and then took the supplies to the ranch. It was only in the 80's today and there was a cool breeze blowing so it was nice to drive over the ranch checking cattle. They seemed to be enjoying the weather too. We saw two wild turkey hens with some young going toward the stock tank so I didn't go to feed the turtles until later so as not to scare them. When I did get there I only fed one small and two large ones and they seemed a little edgy. I don't think turtles like wind.
