Pretty Lady

Don't you think Shelly Marie is looooking good for an old woman? How old is she? I don't know but see how she is wide of mouth? Unlike us human older woman who get wide of butt cows get wide of mouth when they are older.
John is out hauling hay to the hay yard. You might wonder why I'm not with him. I stayed here to vaccum. You can see that is what I'm doing. It is hard to vaccum when John is home and I do have his perch done. The floor in front of the recliner in the living room.
I was up and dressed with turtle food packed at six-thirty but John went back to bed 'cause he watched the news of hurricane Alex too much last night. When I went to Wal*Mart a while ago there is a lot of activity and traffic already. We are between the coast and San Antonio so we get a lot of traffic when there is a hurricane brewing south of here. Anyway by the time he was in the mood to go I was out of the mood to go so I opted for vaccuming. Now that is is getting cloudy and the wind is blowing to cool things off a bit maybe I'll drive out to feed the turtles and see what is going on.

Always glad to know that Shelly Marie is still around. They used to say my dad and granddad could recognize every cow they owned, but I was not able to recognize many of them. I didn't see them enough. Except for their milk cows and horses. I knew all of them. Soon you will be able to recognize the turtles!

All these years around cattle on and off and I never knew about the wide around the mouth with age thing. At least Shelly Marie doesn't have my double chin. She sure has a striated coat on...pretty cool. She even looks well educated if a cow can look educated...or is it just that comfort look about her? How are your turtles doing., and do you still see the catfish?

I don't remember Shellie's horns hooking that much. Straighten them and she would almost be a long horn. Didn't you get a long horn? I don't think you have posted a picture of that one.

Glad you got John's perch done. hahahahaha
Sometimes you girls say things and I know there is an insult in there somewhere, just can't put my finger on it. hahahhaha!
Hope the H-cane skips y'all. I really hope it just dies a natural death.

That's the sad thing about hurricanes, we don't want them to hit us, but we don't want them to hit anyone else either. Take care, Sheila

Had to come & check on you since Alex is headed your way. You can imagine how closely I've watched it since the 2 we've had here in the past 5yrs. I'm ready to pack & leave anytime one looks like it's coming this way! Gassed up & ready:) Haven't been to blogs in a very long time but had to say stay safe. I closed mine down & haven't posted anything. LOVE the pic at top. No wonder you love to ride the country roads~~~~~
