Will It Be A Hotdog Or A Taco???

Do you pass a sign frequently that just cracks you up? I'll be the first to admit my English is far from perfect but I find this sign so funny. On the way to the ranch we pass a small Mexican cafe on the edge of the next town over who has a large sign that reads: WINNIE AND EGG TACOS FOR SALE. I think they mean weenie. That is what I always called them and I know some call them frankfurters and then there is weiners. My interest was raised to a level high enough to make me get out of this chair to check John's winnies in the fridge. His are called Franks, what are your's called?

Hi Paula I have never hear of Winnies or Weenies but I would just ask for a Hotdog and expect a
frankfurter to be inside a roll :o) ~ I do love some of the weird signs we see along our travels ~ Ally x

When I was growing up, we called them wienies; we used to have a lot of wienie roasts. Moving to the city, everybody called them hot dogs, and of course there were the Oscar Mayer commercials that called them hot dogs, so that's what I've called them since. We have a local place whose sign cracks me up: Beer, bait, and barbecue. Want a worm with your ribs? ROFL!

Marvin, Larry, Murray and Estelle. Now that you've reminded me that I have "hot dogs", one of the infamous four above is sleated for the gallows.

I looked at the package and ours are called Franks. But I always ask Ken if he wants a hotdog when we have them for lunch. That is also what I tell him to buy when he gets groceries. Helen

Weenies that is what they are. Some folk think they are Frank's. If they are his give'em back.
You scared me, I am glad John's was in the refer.

They could be serving 'Winnie the Po?'

Always a good one here at Paula's.

Mine are called hot dogs!
Last year there was a fruit stand set up with a sign that said, "Jackson country {should have been county} watermeloms" and then later they added "Catalous". So now we call watermelons watermeloMs, and cantaloupes catalous.

I have heard them called Frankfurters. I buy
wieners to make hot dogs. Have heard of wieners
roast.
Hope the turtles are doing OK. My friends pet turtle Sam died. It was a sad week around the household. The dad built a box and placed Sam in it and we had the funeral. Jane age 8 plays the violin so she played Amazing Grace. So now Sam is in Turtle Heaven. If you need anyone
to hold a Turtle Funeral we now have expenience.

That is the cutest misspelling of wieners I have seen. This sign probably made everyone laugh except a woman named Winnie short for Winnifred.
