Another Building From Charlotte

Another building that has been vacant for years owned by John's sister. His parents ran a beer joint/cafe here. People have rented it for a cafe twice and once it was an antique store but not enough business to support it. To the right of it was Millie's Saddle Shop. She ran it until she couldn't. It was in worse shape then this building so they finally tore it down. John's sister told me today her son said tear it down. It has much sentimental value to her. She is toying with the idea of opening a coffee shop. Just selling simple breakfast items such as coffee and donuts. Closing at eleven in the morning. A place for neighbors to meet to chat and catch up on the latest news while they have their morning coffee and snack. Humm might work, might not.

I sure hope the building gets a new lease on life as a morning cafe/gathering spot. Maybe she could stay open for lunch and serve Fried Green Tomatoes?
Best,

I hate to see old buildings fall by the wayside. There's such an air of nostalgia attached to most of them. Unfortunately, that's progress(?) although I don't subscribe to the idea.

I wish her luck. Starting a business is such a gamble.

Coffee and rolls with friends seated at a big-a round table. That's country between plantings and harvests, where the first liar hasn't got a chance.
