John's sister sends us a calendar from Alaska every year with a moose picture on every page. I think they are the ugliest animal I've ever seen. Not that I've seen one in person but I've seen lots of pictures. Sooo one of the Alaska sisters and her husband are coming to visit and then the other sooo we bought corn today and started baiting the wildhog trap. We're gonna try to show them our ugly animals. Hope they aren't going to want to butcher any in my kitchen. I've been there and done that. We've been on the go for the ranch all day today. At least we waited for the fog to lift. Bought corn, cubes and John bought some maize for my birds and they do like is as well or better then the more expensive Wal*Mart bird seen. We saw several pairs of cardinals at the ranch. I ask John where he thinks they are on their way to. He thinks it is probably mating season is the reason they are all together. I saw the little cotton tail rabbit twice today. Wish some babies would appear of this variety. "The Looker" had her baby since we were out last. Surprising she brought it up so soon. She is hanging around the herd and has her baby with her. She kept her eye on us so we didn't press our luck. Everything is still very muddy but we were able to drive on the tank dam so I called the turtles up. All I had to feed them was tiny pieces of flour tortilla and they would swim right past and not even try it. Wonder if they would like enchiladas or crispy tacos. Guess not. Have to remember the cat food next time.
