Update On The Ranch

The cactus are starting to bloom so I had John driving around while I searched for the perfect picture. He said he was wasting gas so he would point one out to me and I would say no that has junk in the background or no not enough blooms. I'll try next week, this is an old picture. We found the twins are both hanging with the calf that has the mama with the milk. Poor lady is probably nursing three babies now. We found Ginger and Pal on the tank dam together. They hung around together when Pal was pregnant and now Ginger is with calf so I guess Pal is returning the favor. Seems odd to not see Big Boy but his son is much on the scene and soon will look just as big as his dad. The Looker still watches us but doesn't run away. I ask John to drive quietly over the tank dam as I forgot the turtle food. They won't starve as no one was feeding them before I got the bright idea to spoil old stock tank turtles. The water is murky again from the stuff falling off the trees, I don't think the turtles like to swim in it. There was a couple of wild ducks keeping them company and they didn't even fly away as we drove over. We need rain, the ranch is getting dry and ugly.

I enjoy colorful cactus and you have some big ones. I had a hothouse cactus that bloomed and I had it in the house. After many sharp barbs that found my skin I finally donated it to a garage, sale next door.

Always enjoy the country tales. Love the report on the cows 'by name' I am still amazed at that.

Quit wasting the gas!!! Snap the picture!LOL

Us boys are very conscience of wasting. (Unless it is us doing the wasting!!!) hahahaha

Sending love from NC where we have some wet ground.

Hi, Just wanted to tell you that I love the desert views. It is quite different from what I am used to seeing here in the Southeast.

I could have sent some rain today or last night. Snow in the panhandle. Last I heard it was accumulating there. We need no snow.
