Hissie Fit

No this cow is not throwing a hissie fit. She is eating a pear apple. Sometime in eating those they get a sticker in their mouth then they make the funniest faces trying to dislodge it. Its ten thirty here now and we have already been to feed the cows and turtles and are back home under the a/c. Everyone was calm and collected. We saw one little bunny rabbit scouting for food and four quail. It seems the quail didnt produce babies this year. I understand they don't when it is too dry to make the seed they need to survive. I read an article that even if and when it does rain the drought is going to have an effect on the wildlife and land for years to come. It feels like we are living a dry run for hell. Enough whining now. Ginger and Pal stood on the tank dam to watch me feed the turtles until Ginger couldn't stand it any longer and came down closer to see if the food was anything she would like. I offered bread but she didn't like. I kept my eyes peeled over my shoulder as I didn't want to be butted into that murky water. She is a gentle good girl but I don't take any chances since Butter butted me from behind and left bruises one time.

That's a great picture! You could put that one up for captions and get a million responses.

Yeah! this is a familiar face! Not that we have those kind of apples in the barn but they do make lot's of faces! They told me that when a cow is playing with her tongue the whole time she gives a lot of milk... i haven't checked that out yet...

Thanks!

gets ths apple unstuck from his mouth.

I wish I had given the turtle your address.
