Just a country girl kicking around the dirt roads taking pictures of trees, gates, animals. cactus, and anything else that strikes my un-fancy mind. You are welcome to take a look and come back if you like.

The Prayer Of South Texas
Thank you God for water well repairmen, air conditioning repairmen, and firemen. Amen. It is good we left before day light for the ranch this morning. John had left the water running into the stock tank. It takes several days to add enough water to bring the level up. He was going to change the water over to the resevoir for house water for the rent house where five very large people live so therefore a lot of showers. Plus one of the girls had taken it on herself to fill large tubs of water for the cows to come drink by the back gate. She loves animals and I'm sure she thought she was doing them a big favor giving them clean water. I'm sure she doesn't realize that is just the way cows are. They stand in the water they drink buuut this was helping to deplete their house water supply and making John have to fill the resevoir more often. When we got there and checked, the water wasn't running. In this heat that is pure panic. After tinkering around a bit we ran up to the water well man's house. He was in his truck ready to leave but he agreed to come down and check the well. Thank goodness the pump wasn't out. He thinks it was something due to the extreme heat we had yesterday. He was able to get the water running and we left it filling the stock tank. We'll go back in a few minutes to see if it is still running and John will have to buy one new electrical box. On days like this John threatens to sell out and quit.

Glad you could get it going!
I can see this:'On days like this John threatens to sell out and quit.'
Ain't it the truth.
when your John
feels like that
do you think...
what would he
do with his time?
When you depend on a well for water (we do), turning on the water and having nothing come out of the faucet almost gives you a heart attack and all you can think is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
