What Would You Do?

If you were out driving and came around a corner and there was a casket up beside a fence? My husband Mel worked the city of San Antonio and a lot of South Texas as a commercial refrigeration mechanic. One night when he came home he told me of drivng a country road in this county and came upon a casket by a fence at a corner. I ask him if he got out and opened it and he said no I did not. He stopped at the nearest funeral home which was here in our town to see if they had lost one. They said they had not but they would call around. We never knew if the rightful owner was reunited or not. I would have been very tempted to look in but on the other hand would have been afraid it was a sick joke and someone would pop up. What would you have done?

I would have done the same as he did. No way would I have opened up that lid. You will have to read about my computer woes I had yesterday until today. They will probably crop up again because it is being tempermental.

This happened out on a country road where there were no houses around. We didn't have cell phones back then, they weren't even thought about for us. He was on the job with so many calls to make and as it was he never got to leave the job at quitting time so he did what he thought was the right thing to do and with the least amount of time lost. No police out there either.

Good question. I think I would have stopped, taken a close look and a photo or two and rapped on a the lid a few times to see if anyone was home. But I don't think I would have opened it.
Best,

Paula, I would bet that you got that when you upgraded AOL. People think I am a whiz at computers but I just take a lot of guesses and chances if I will lose my computer and have to have it repaired.
