Just a country girl kicking around the dirt roads taking pictures of trees, gates, animals. cactus, and anything else that strikes my un-fancy mind. You are welcome to take a look and come back if you like.

"The Butcher, The Baker"
Has anyone read this book? It's about a serial killer who had a family and his wife was a teacher. I can't wait to find it and read it as our company worked with the killer in the 70's. He is serving time now. I can't remember the killer's name or the author's name. I don't seek out this type book but since our company told us some about him it will be interesting. I think this is the book another brother-in-law of John's said they are making a movie out of it and his son has a bit part in it so that will make it doubly interesting.

Don't read books with blood and gore. I used to, but gave them up. Had trouble sleeping with such images on my mind. Hope you enjoy it though. Never heard of it. Take care.
Butcher, Baker: A True Account of a Serial Murderer by Walter Gilmour and Leland E. Hale 1991, Paperback
This is the true story of Robert Hansen, the worst serial killer in Alaska's history.
I wonder if it's in the library
from what I saw on internet
not a cheap book
Paula, I found a book on Amazon called "Butcher, Baker" about a killer in Alaska. It is by Walter Gilmour and Leland E. Hale.
This is probably it.
Ha, Lisa and I posted our comments almost at the exact same time!
It sounds familiar but that is about all I can say. Is your company gone? Now you can have the best of Christmases and a Happy New Year. Love the header. It must be warm.
Yeah, I also saw it on Amazon, hopefully it is in the library because it isn't a cheapie.
Wow to think you had worked with a 'crazy' is too far out.
BUT we do not know anyone's mind.
You do come up with a doozy of an entry. Hope youhave the3 house to yourself now, or soon!!!
The movie based on this serial killer is called Frozen Ground and is supposed to be released sometime in 2012. Nicholas Cage and John Cusack both play a part in it.
As for books I found these from this article in True Crime online:

I think you'll find a lot of information in the article without having to go out and buy the book. However if you still want the book, here are a few based on Robert Hansen.

I hope you find the book I always like to read the book before seeing the movie. I just don't care much for scary movies. Lol. Take care. Jean
I've heard of it but never read it.
I don't read much since my eyesight went bad but it sounds very interesting. I never bought many "first edition" books but now, I might not have time to wait on the paperbacks...ain't gettin' old grand? LOL
No... I haven't read it.
