Why Don't You Just Take The Truck?

We ran out to the ranch this afternoon to see if the propane man had been there. When I say I'm going to run somewhere John says why don't you just take the truck? As we turned onto our street I glanced toward the yard of the second house and I saw a large garbage can on it's side in the drive-way and an elderly ladies head behind it with an arm waving. John go back someone needs our help. Where? What? By the time I convinced him a young couple had stopped. John backed up and we got out with the couple to see the lady had slipped on the acorns in her drive as she was getting her garbage can in. One arm was under her and her hand was bleeding. We covered her with a jacket and the young lady called an ambulance and we comforted her as best we could. As the ambulance drove up I thought they were going to back into the drive so I stepped backward and tripped on a decorative light and fell backward onto my back. Miss Graceful, that's my name. Gave me a jolt but I'm okay. They teased me that the lady was going to get the first ambulance. The young man picked grassburrs out of my jacket. The lady was loaded into the ambulance and we left the job to the police.

OUCH! I am glad it hurt your ego worse than your body. That scares me since our neighbor over here fell out of her RV bringing us some chocolate cake and broke her hip.

You must be still pretty tough cowgirl. Hope you ain't sore tomorrow!!
Merry Christmas anyway!!!!!!! (Had to correct some typos)

Wow Paula sounds like a bad day in the 'hood.Glad you're OK.I find that I don't bounce nearly as well as I used to and my wife has a bad case of osteoporosis so falls are not welcome events for either of us...I'm bettin' you're not too fond of them either! Be careful out there, it's too close to Christmas to get all banged up. God bless you for helping!

Being a good samaritan doesn't call for you to end up hurt. Thank goodness it wasn't serious. I hope the lady is okay too.

You 2 did a good deed, but Paula you be careful! If you feel something is not right don't second guess it. Get it checked out. Voice of experience. You may be sore fora day or so, unless you are a tough lady. Did you get snow?

Paula if you will go to google.com and put in pix resizer and download the program them it is easy to change sizes of pictures. I have it on my desktop and use it quite often. Sure does a good job. You can download the pictures to the same folder as the place you pulled it from only look at the size at the bottom of the picture to see what size you want or you can make a new folder to put resized pictures in. The larger size will stay where it is if you wan't to keep it. Helen
