How Long Since You Cleaned Out Your Medicine Chest?

Evidently its been a while for me as I found one medicne that expired in '03. No! I'm sure I've cleaned it out but I'm kind of inclined to be a hoarder when it comes to medicine. I'm always afraid I will be in pain or need something in the middle of the night so I hold on to it just in case. Of course that was before our all night Wal*Mart and who can say I can drive there if I'm sick as a dog. Okay its in the trash can now. What is the oddest or funniest thing you have found in your medicine chest? I did a good job today, took everything out, wiped it out, made myself throw some away with tears in my eyes. Lo and behold but what should I find lurking against the wall of the chest but two packages of lemon/lime Koolade. What in the world is that doing in there I thought. John is guilty but  I rethink this idea. John woudn't put anything inside and close the door. He would leave it on the sink. After pondering a few minutes it came to me. Several years ago I was reading about cleaning things with safe  products. Oh yes I read Koolade is good to clean the toilet bowl. I promptly opened one package and dumped it along the water line. Humm didn't smell bad, let it sit while I finished putting everything back neatly  minus a few things. Used the brush and wha---la.

Cleaning medicine chests is a chore, for sure. Had to chuckle about you finding KOOLAID in there. Now that I know it cleans toilets, maybe I'll try it too. LOL take care.

i'm guilty of hanging on to prescription meds and creams long after they're expired. hey, if they cost good money, dang it, i'm gonna use 'em! :)

I tend to keep everything, and I never bother to clean out my medicine cabinet until it's too late. Recently I discovered that I'd been using aspirin that's been outdated for three years. No wonder I always feel rotten.....

Humm, Kool-aid to clean toilets, may have to try it...seems I heard once you could throw some alka-seltzer in the toilet to clean it too. Haven't tried that either...Have a great Sunday, Sheila

Okay, this may take a while. LOL. I tucked my girl in, smooched her a little, and came back here. Now She is reading.

I went into the medicine cab. Looked around. Found a tube of ointment, out of date. I then stepped the 3' to the bed and said what is this. She looked and it and looked at me and broke out laughing. "YOU ARE READING PAULA!" yep. WE ARE STILL BOTH LAUGHING.

So I need to thank you for a good read and a laugh!!
Love ya

I meant to say, before I started laughing, in the Navy, we used to clean copper and some other things with Lime cool aid, we called it bug juice.

We have everything but medicines in the medicine cabinet. Joe has some ancient eye wash from when he still is working. Ever thing is outdated he has. We keep our regular meds in, plastic baskets so we never forget.

Afraid I am too organised Paula.I do my medicine box out plenty. Each week I take a look to see what needs re stocking. Also buy and add to it new ones, I think might be of use sometime. The strangest thing you will find in my medicine box.....Wait for tit lol....is a short white pure cotton trainer sock, with the toe cut out Haaaaaaaa.Laugh if you like.I use this often when my elbow gets sore sometimes, from resting on the countertop looking out the window watching the birds. So I put anticeptic on the elbow.Place the sock over Hey presto. It does a fine job.Plasters come off and bandage will not stay in place.Being pure cotton,I can then boil it make it sterile and place it back for the next time haaaaaaaa.Have a great day enjoyed the post.Take Care God Bless Kath xx
