Counting Calves

The calves were through with their playtime by the time we started counting them so It was fairly easy. We counted nineteen and there was one missing but we didn't want to drive through the tall grass and run over the little guy. It's Mama was there so it probably was close by. We stopped on the tank dam to feed the turtles. Floor Tile must have been hungry as it was aggressive toward the other turtles. I guess Scraggly Shell is gone for good. Probably moved on to another pond or tank looking for love? We didn't see the turkey hen today but we did see one roadrunner doing what they always do, running here and there. The renters seem to be almost moved except for their junk in the front yard and a turkey, three small dogs, and two large birds in a cage in the back yard. I'm sure they are coming back to feed them because that is one thing I can say for them they love animals.

Judging by all your photos, you live in a much prettier part of Texas than I do. I'm sure those calves are very happy!

I apologize for messing up my comment on your previous blog entry. I posted my comment once, and for some weird reason it came out three times. I tried to delete them......

I love the baby calf and mama picture. The cow reminds me of my brothers herd, black and white. I think his are "Tiger Stripe"...not sure.

I hope the baby calf shows up.
