Us, Road Hunting?
It was a country road we travel on from time to time. No traffic, gravel, ranches, wildflowers. We came upon a low place where there was a wild hog grazing between the road and the fence. It didn't run away or pay any attention to us. About a block down the road we decided to go back to see if we could get a picture out of the truck window. Not that we need another picture of a wild hog since we trapped them for fourteen months. It was just the challenge to try to get a picture. When we got back even with where it had been it was gone. We stopped to scan the brush and we could see a passel of them in there but not clearly. There was their trail on both sides of the road where they travel. So we turned again to continue on the way we were orginally headed. I had seen a pick-up parked in a lane and wondered why they had not pulled out onto the road as there was no vehicles of any kind on the road except us and we were far enough that they could have pulled out. As we drove their direction they pulled out and as they were meeting us they kept getting more and more on my side of the road until I had to stop. I rolled my window down to see a rough looking man and a younger one on the passenger side. The older man said to me "we're having trouble with road hunters here. I stuck my camera out the window and said "I understand". The younger man was laughing his head off. I guess when they could see my pick-up didn't seem to ever have had a dirty pig in the back and this was two old people with a camera. Well they must have realized they had not caught their road hunters.
