The Writing Was On The Wall

Here I sit at the computer when I should be working. What can I say? I was having computer and blog withdrawals. It is unusual for me to miss getting online for a whole day unless I'm out of town. John got the farm house back yesterday. I won't even go there. The writing was on the wall but John didn't read it or listen to me. I might add it is his rent property, not mine. I sold mine years ago. The last trip out was to show it to a couple and we ended up talking to them on the back steps until almost eleven. They are making good promises. They have three dogs and four kids 12 through 18. She is excited for the kids to live in the county but she is a city girl for sure, so how will she like cactus and mesquite stickers. All kinds of bugs and snakes? Dirt blowing in since it seems we are heading for a continuation of the drought? Rusty water? Not much activity in the small town one mile west? No garbage service? A long drive to her job in San Antonio? Well it remains to be seen, hope all will be well that ends well. One thing about looking at a turned back rental property it gives me the incinative to clean clean clean so I'm outta here. Have a good day everyone.

I do hope you get good renters this time!

OK...I was doing the same thing. You inspired me to get moving now. Thanks. :)

I am amazed that people don't want to take pride in where they live whether they own or rent. As you know Paula we are renting while we wait to get our house built. We've been here 7 years and I love our landlord and his family. They always tell us y'all are the best renters we've ever had and it makes me wonder how bad were the others. It was pretty filthy when we moved in but I got it clean. We try our best to keep the house clean and do small maintenance on it too. We love it here and are proud of our home even if it is a rental.

We rented for years, I always preferred to repair something if I could, rather than report it and wait for the repairman. Our practice was to leave a place better than we found it. Fortunately we have have very good renters.
Last year we sent the rent back to one renter for a Christmas present. They take care of the house like I would, and it is appreciated.
Love from over here and the best of luck to John and his renters!!
Now get things cleaned up!!!!! LOL

I've seen what people do to rental house...I just can't imagine not takin' care of something no matter whose name is on the title.

I pray ya'll find some great renters who'll appreciate the place for ya.

Have a blissfully blessed week sweetie!!! :o)
