A Slice Of Cake For A Giant

Don't you think this looks like some kind of cake or bread with icing on it? This is the rock that sat in front of the first school northeast of San Antonio on my deceased husband's greatgrandfarther's property. They recently built a school and named it after the greatgrandfather. Luckily someone had this rock and came forward and donated it to the new school where it sits now out front. The sayings are the kids sat on this rock to eat their lunch back in that day which was the 1800's. Wonder what they brought for their lunch, scrambled eggs on homemade bread maybe?

I do wonder what a lunch consisted of? Maybe dried fruit also? You do know how to raise a puzzle.
That is a curious rock!

That's a fascinating story. I'm wondering how big the rock is?
Amazing that it's still around after all these years.

The rock is certainly a precious piece to add to the school. Wouldn't it be fun if it could tell us it's stories?

I bet there were a few leftover biscuits with or without a piece of meat for lunch on that rock. Glad someone held on to that rock. Take care, Sheila

That is so nice. A piece of history. I can imagine the lunches and stories that were shared on that rock would be very interesting.

Think of the stories that rock could tell! The confidences shared, troubles aired, maybe even some courting!
