City Moving To The Country

Yipee John rented the farm house today. The man is from this area but the Mom and her four kids are new to the country. Two of the kids came with her to pay the first months rent today. I noticed the young man (just graduated high school) was taking picture of the turtles with his cell phone. I couldn't tell if the third grade girl was impressed when I told her about the wild turkeys and the baby calves or is she was saying YUCK under her breath. John has been ready to give up several times and quit. replaceing doors, burning loads of junk, and cleaning. Today was the icing on the cake when the hot water heater wouldn't work. He has calmed down now as the renter, his brother, and John got some new parts and they can take a hot bath now. The gas line company showed up for a while one day to cut some branches and put big white river rock on each side of the Farm to Market road between the fence and the highway. Not sure if that is where they are going to drive in or if that is where the pipeline will go under the pavement or maybe both.

Way to Go John, GREAT START. It doesn't sound like the folks are dancing!!!! hahahahaha

As usual a great entry. John ain't giving up, what else is he gonna do. he probably don't like to whittle and chew tobacco and spit in the camp fire.

LOL (But I like your dancing folk)
Oh yes and the header picture is great!

Texas beef does have some long horns. I am not a cow or bull person. I never ever would be that close to the horned one. Sounds like their is progress with the pipe line.

I remember you once writing that John said that maybe when he retires the 2 of you would go live in a hotel. That may start to occur to him again...
