Just a country girl kicking around the dirt roads taking pictures of trees, gates, animals. cactus, and anything else that strikes my un-fancy mind. You are welcome to take a look and come back if you like.

I'm Not Nosy, I'm Just Interested.
We've been going to the ranch late and getting home late. John says aren't we nosy? Reguarding checking what the gas pipeline people have done each day. I say I'm not nosy, I'm interested. Wow they did seven gaps across fences today and are they wide? If you don't know what a gap is. It is a place in the fence that can be opened like a gate but there is no gate there. Looks like they have already moved on into the bankers property with the big machine that bores post holes. We found another piece of machinery that seems to be to pull or push trees. I guess they picked the best route to avoid the big oak trees. They did get some cactus which is used for food in the winter but not much. The gaps do look nice and neat and into the banker's property they put a nice high metal gate that matches his deer proof fence and it is locked. No chance of us 'po folks going on that property. lol A hot dry wind has been blowing both days drying out what little moisture we might have. The turtles are eager to eat and the fish did today but not yesterday. One of the turtles has become quite a pet. It crawls up to the top of the dam where I am standing and then comes up behind me and around to crawl on my shoes. I'm having to be very careful not to step back on it or let it trip me. The ground is very uneven where the cows have tramped and with the wind blowing hard I can see myself falling in the water.

oh, don't be doing that! we don't need pictures of the sky! :)
There is indeed a big difference in being nosy and being interested.
When I first purchased my present house there were several turtles residing in the back yard, but I haven't seen them in over a year.
Maybe the cats scared them away??
How cool about your turtle becoming so friendly! PLEASE be careful though!
Be very careful that you do not trip on the turtle. Either way one of you might get hurt. Don't need that.
You have done a good job of petting the turtles!
I agree it is nice to see but be careful. sandie
I for one, Love your interest. You always use that interest to produce a great entry to this blog. So keep on being interested (then tell us even if it is what you call boring!)
