The Lowest of Th Low

We went to our Country historical church on a boonie road today only to find out someone had broke in the front door. A heavy double door that replaced the doors from last time they buglarized it. It is a dead-end road with a house where you turn onto the church road and one house past the church where a church member lives with his son. About a year ago they built a new room on the side for socials, sunday school, or meetings and a kitchen across the back. Everything is new inside and isn't used that much so the cook stove and fridge they took was like new. They took the PA system and then broke into the rest rooms and took the electric heater from the ladies room. Now we're looking into an alarm system or surveilence cameras. Along with the ill we prayed for the crooks because they are ill too. Anyone who steals from a cemetary or a church has to be very desperate or very ill.

that is very sad. i'm sorry. we get a lot of theft of anything metal around here - the drug addicts are just looking to sell it for quick cash.

Two things I abhor - a liar and a thief. Hope things are properly returned to normal.

Terrible! I hope the church had insurance and it is terribly sad someone would be that desperate to steal from a church. I think it is wise to implement a security system, but sad. I remember back in the day when one could leave church doors unlocked and there'd be no worry that someone would come into the church and vandalize or steal. Times sure have changed and not for the best, I fear.

It just beggars belief that they could steal from a holy place.I get soooo angry when I read these happenings.Only last week here at my place Paula, a lady welcomed a newcomer to the local church and he sat next to her.Whilst she was praying he upped and stole her handbag from the side of her on the seat.Grrr.I hope things can be replaced and some form of security put in force.Take Care God Bless Kath.(I have been on vacation 2 weeks good to be back .xx

Sorry for your loss at the Church, sounds like you need a "Silent" alarm and camera's, that way when they break in again, which they probably will maybe they can catch them red handed.
Take care;

It's disgusting when someone steals from a church. But you are right, they need to be prayed for, too .

Why do people do that. VandaLS BROKE INTO A CHURCH HERE and vandalized a 100 year old stained glass window. There have been a quite a few church break ins, at churches here. That is to bad that the church got broken into. Whoever these people are have no respect for anyone or anything. I hope they catch them.

Times have changed, as Lynne says. It is a shame that respect at least for the Lord's house, had gone astray. Bless you for praying for the vandals. It certainly was a team theft. I hope the guilt eats them until they repent. Til then, maybe our prayers for the lost will help.

As for that huge cabbage, I made a triple batch of slaw, stuffed cabbage and there was still enough left for sweet sour cabbage too. It was a bigon'!

It is sad, I know we will never return to the innocent times of the past. My dad was a preacher so I lived 'church' I know up until 1957 no churches locked their doors.
No one dared steal from the church or the US Mail. Things have sure changed.
I hate to hear this.
