When Your Leaves Are Turning And It Isn't Even Fall Yet

The part of the book that says Men Are From Mars must be correct. I looked out the front window to see the leaves on the front trees dark colors of gold and tan. Humm lack of rain? Nooo John got a bright idea that wasn't too bright. I love a neat yard with grass mowed and everything trimmed neatly. John finally bought a riding lawnmower and mows on time. Maybe he feels like he is back driving a tractor like he did in his younger days. I do what trimming by hand that I can a little at a time so I guess he though he was doing me a favor. He brought some of the chemical home that he has been spraying mesquite in the fields with and edged the yard with it. It killed the grass along the sidewalk but it isn't a pretty sight. Evidently the Ash tree's roots are not very deep and the chemical seeped from around the house and the edge of the house. The two trees are large enough now to make a fairly decent shade. I pray they aren't going to die but just lose their leaves.

Those poor trees. Hope they survive.

Hopefully No real damage is done, BUT you will find out that is for sure.

I have edged with 'Round-up' in the past, and I did not like the looks either. We try to keep the grass along the asphalt killed to protect it.

But I am sure the Mesquite poison is stronger than 'Round-up'.

Fact is 'What is, IS!' and you cannot back it up.

Oh no!!! Sounds like something that could be happening here if we had the stuff around. Our yard is done for the summer I think and all we needed was sun. We have our only shade tree should come down but we can't afford to have it done. Growing over into the "horror yards house" and we are afraid it could come down on our roof.
