Skunk Traps Are Made Low For A Reason

I awoke startled this morning. A sound like someone or something falling or being dropped. I lay very still and listened then realized there is an odor in the air. The pungent odor of a skunk whifting it's way through the A/C window unit in my room. Oh why oh why does John have to have Macular Degeneration and the air bothers him so he doesn't want to use the central air? Oh why oh why didn't we close that garage door all the way? Because we have a spoiled Susie who wants to go in and out as she pleases. Where is the skunk trap the city never picked up when we always had visitors in the past. I know it's in the shed and not baited of course. A low trap the city man told us was made that way because a skunk cannot spray if it can't raise it's tail high. Makes sense to me but we never caught anything in it. I'm  laying there inhaling this ugly odor, thinking of skunk visitors from the past. When John looked out the window to see Susie walking side by side with a skunk and she didn't even smell bad in the morning. Finally the air begins to clear so I get up and open each door to look out. Only Susie begging at the front door. She isn't hungry, begging is her hobby. Must have been a skunk just passing through the neighborhood. All is well that ends well.

When I wake up in the morning, all three cats are on the porch waiting for me to feed them.

My brother trapped out 15 of those buggers from Mom's barn this spring and summer. They can really become a problem if not controlled.

Begging is her hobby. Ha. I get that. You need to talk to John about the central air.
